Made in Canada, Fluval Test Kits accurately measure water parameters to help you maintain a balanced and healthy environment for your fish and plant life. Its important to always test your source water as it may contain pollutants hazardous to your aquarium.
When organic matter decays and fish waste is produced phosphates are released into the water and can cause undesirable algae as well as inhibit the growth of hard corals. Tap water can be a source of phosphates, in which case it must be pre-treated before adding it to the aquarium. Test as needed.
